Godot HTML5 Export
Prepare a single-threaded Godot 4.3+ Web export, package it as a ZIP for RetiPie, and use the Godot SDK wrapper for lifecycle, analytics, and leaderboards.
RetiPie includes sdks/godot, a Godot 4 Web export addon backed by window.retipie.
Requirements
- Godot 4.3 or newer.
- A Web export with Thread Support turned off.
- Game assets bundled with the exported files.
- No third-party ad or tracking scripts inside the exported game.
Godot 4.0–4.2 can't export without threads. Threaded exports need Web Workers and SharedArrayBuffer, and the game runtime blocks both, so these exports don't start on RetiPie.
Export flow
- Open Project → Export and add or select the Web preset.
- Turn off Variant → Thread Support.
- Export the project with the file name
index.html, and confirm the folder contains it and the runtime files. - Package the export as a ZIP with
index.htmlat the root, or inside one shared root folder. - Upload the ZIP through RetiPie Slice.
- Preview the release in the RetiPie device preview before publishing.
SDK wrapper
The Godot addon exposes a RetiPie autoload singleton that calls the platform bridge on Web exports. It is a wrapper over the same runtime surface documented in SDK Overview.
Use the wrapper for lifecycle, analytics, and leaderboards instead of reaching directly into browser JavaScript throughout your game code.
Godot Web exports compile to WebAssembly, which RetiPie supports. Keep the export self-contained — external resources and dynamically loaded scripts are blocked at runtime. See Game Requirements for the practical constraints.
Mobile Readiness Checklist
Check controls, first-screen clarity, loading state, orientation, and runtime behavior before submitting an indie browser game to RetiPie.
Unity WebGL Export
Prepare a Unity WebGL build for RetiPie with working Player Settings, package it as a ZIP, and call the Unity SDK from C# for lifecycle and leaderboards.
